What period is recommended for a child to use clonazepam
I take clonazepam 1mg 2x daily, and it is time released but still a pretty strong benzodiazepine. I started having panic and anxiety attacks at a very young age. probably about 13, but I just lived with it. That is until it got so bad that I couldn't go to school, restaurants, family reunuions, etc.(Anything that has a large crowd of people) I suffer mainly from generalized anxiety disorder, and that means I have one particular thing that sets off my panic mindset, and that is social situations. Anyhow I'm getting totally off subject here now. Okay so at I believe 15 yrs old I finally went to a psychologist.(Thank God!!) She started me out on prozac and serax. The prozac is an anti- depressant and it made me worse, so I had to try many other anti- depressants, but nothing seemed to help me with my panic/anxiety disorder except for the serax, which was a mild benzodiazepine. I believe if at all possible, try 4 something that isn't as strong (if possible) Now if this is being takin for seizures then I put my foot in my mouth, because I don't know what else is available out there for seizures. But if it is 4 anxiety/panic disorder(and this is only my opinion) maybe try something that is non-narcotic, or if a benzodiazepine is needed maybe something milder. I hope this helps maybe just a litle bit......Good luck!
