Hello! I have been diagnosed with CIN III, and from where I come from, they don’t tell us much about the STD we have, they just give us a prescription. I have never heard of this disease before and as I have earned it, I would like to know something more about it. IS there anybody who could fill me in the story. THx!

Hi there! CIN III or if written in full name Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia is an STD caused by a sexually transmitted virus called the Human Papilloma Virus. III means 3rd class or something, meaning it is the severest stage. CIN is considered a pre-cancerous abnormality, but not an actual cancer. While the mildest form CIN I goes away on its own, CIN III stays or gets worse. They can become a cancer, but almost never do if treated adequately. There are chances fro cancer only if this form of CIN is not treated. In this severest case, the lesions must be removed as completely as possible. It is done by a procedure called LEEP. It is necessary sometimes to do a procedure called a Conization, which involves the surgical removal of the abnormal tissue, or to use laser beam treatment

Hi, I also just had a Biopsy done, and the results were the CIN III. LEEP surgery is set up for the 14th. As for the original post, I dont think the CIN III is an actual STD, its the result of the HPV Human Papilloma Virus. I wish you good luck in getting treatment, I heard the success rate of the procedure is 98%. Sorry you have to be dealing with this, as I currently am as well. Goodluck!
