I to have DPU. At a wits end with the Doctors....nothing works to completely relieve it except Prednisone.
I have told the Doctors that at my age (68) that the quality of my life is much more important than the quanity. That for me means the prolonged use of Prednisone.
I've read all the disclaimers on Prednisone. I am looking for Clinical trials relating to the long term use of Prednisone so that I can make a truly informed decision. Can someone guide me to the proper info or link.
I have the same question. I have muscle problems that have not responded to ANYTHING other than prednesone. I was on anti-inflamatories and muscle relaxers. All I ever did was sleep alot after Zanaflex. Prednesone 20mg is the only thing that helps. But the medical community insists on weening you off of it after a week or so. I'd like to see some long time studies too!
