Hey there,I just wanted to quickly share my experience, so that I may help out another girl who is looking this up right now. ( I was you 6 hours ago) Its been 2 weeks since my Leep surgery, and I my period start date was today. I got period cramps in the morning, and then in the afternoon I was getting a very heavy flow. Then blood clots, quite big ones! Like golf ball size and sometimes even bigger. It was happening consistently, and I was soaking 1 pad every hour , even under an hour sometimes. SO, I was like, is this normal? I looked it up, some said yes..some said no. I decided to call a nurse hot line because I did not feel right, dizziness, tingling, sometimes shortness of breath. She told me to go to a doctor right away. So I did.If you are experiecing filling MORE THEN ONE PAD AN HOUR, and have blood clots, and dizziness, or even if your flow is really really unnormal, go to the ER. I went to the ER, they checked my cervix to see if the wound was open, it turned a little piece was open and they had to use nitrate to stop the bleeding. ( it was uncomfortable, but nothing to worry about) I had blood tests, to see if my blood level were normal. I also had an IV just to keep me hydated. It seems intense, but it felt better to have the bleeding stop.If you feel unsure, just go, but dont worry you will be okay!Goodluck!!
