Call me stupid, I did decide to quit Zoloft cold turkey, I'm on day 5. I was on it for a little over 2 years ranging between 50-100 Mgs daily. The drug did wonders for me, it allowed me to grasp my anxiety and put space between my thoughts; I thought everyone should have been on this drug. My doctor and I both decided maybe it was a good time to try and taper off. I was taking 50mg at the time and I was going to go down to 25mg for a week, I said screw it, I just stopped. As I said in the beginning of this post, I'm on day 5. Here's how I'm feeling:
Better at focusing
More energized
Better moods, more consistent may I add.
The desire to eat better.
Less apathetic feelings.
Having sex with my gf 6x times a night.
I understood stopping this cold turkey could cause some withdrawal symptoms, but so far, honestly, I feel better. Now I'm not saying cold turkeys the way to go, everyone's different, but so far it's worked alright for me, unless, god forbid, they just haven't started yet, yikes! Just thought I'd put this info out there for curious Zoloft users.
