colonoscopy causes erection

From my unprofessional point of you, it sounds absurd as I don’t think that anybody enjoys this procedure. Even though there are guys who get erected when their anus is being touched or penetrated I don’t think that this situation would be the appropriate one. Maybe, what you heard is just a rumor or maybe it is me who is not well acquainted with the procedure and the affect it has on men. But I think this is false information. It would be good if somebody could prove me wrong!

I get hard very, very easily, and I did not get an erection during my colonscopy. For me, if I know someone might see my penis, it can trigger it. Writing this is also giving me one. But during a colonscopy, they give you relaxers and after they start, they put you in what they call 'twilight', which I still don't understand. Supposedly you are awake and can respond to them, but there is absolutely no memory of it. So, since I don't remember, maybe I did pop one up. You do have a gown on and they only open up the back so it's not just hanging out there for everyone to see. It's very very wierd, that you can't remember any part after they start. The nurse asked if the medication was kicking in and I thiink she was messing with me cause that's the absolute last thing I remember until it was all over. I was very worried but it was nothing.

I had a colonscopy today. When I woke up I was flat on my back with a very hard erection that was obviously tenting the gown. There were two nurses in the room that must have noticed. This is significant because I have erectile dysfunction and use edex injections to get a maintainable erection. I suspect the cause was the anesthesia. I had problems with my gutt on and off for years but never go it looked at until this time I was vomiting and passing blood so thought best get this looked at. After a visit to the GP I was booked in for both endoscopy and colonoscopy. I chose not to have sedation as I needed to be able to drive later that day. I had a numbing throat spray for my endoscopy (but still gagged and reached lol) I only had gas and air during colonoscopy and can remember every part of the procedure. There were 5 female staff in the room. 2 of them performed the colonoscopy well mostly 1 of them as she was in her 3rd year of something or other and the other 1 was the pro who mainly supervised but had to take over towards the end as I have a difficult twist/bend in my bowel. 1 was on the computer, 1 was monitoring my stats and talking/comforting me throughout and the last 1 was just there to get things and assist. I did feel the bloating pain in my gut when they filled it with air and could sort of feel something inside me but mainly just at the entrance of my bum felt like I was going to poo lol. I was fine for first few minutes then I felt an erection coming on and before I new it I was full on erect. I must of had a worried look on my face as the nurse taking to me asked if I was OK. I shook my head slightly so she asked what was wrong. I used my eyes to look down below and flicked my index finger out. Anyway after that life story lol what I'm trying to point out is that in the UK you are fully covered apart from your butt crack lol and the usual position is to lie on your left hand side. Like I said there were 5 females in the room at the time and not any one of them seen anything and only 1 of them knew and that was only because I panicked and told her. So for anyone in the UK having a colonoscopy the procedure isn't mega painful even without sedation, maybe a bit uncomfortable at times and don't worry about getting an erection or ejeculating just say nothing and enjoy a handsfree cum lol

I think it's possible. The prostate is located just in front of the rectum and can be felt through the rectal wall. Insertion of the colonoscope might put some pressure on the prostate (massage it) and cause an erection.
