I am suffering from this and relate to what you wrote above 100%. I am convinced I have at tumor or something obstructing the passage of this mucus, because it makes me gag, but I cannot pull it down into my mouth as I used to. This has been going on and getting worse since 2012. I hope we find an answer.

Try raw turmeric. You probably would not like the taste but it works as miracle. You can buy this from most of the super markets. I usually buy this from Harris Teeter or from Chinese super markets. Peel a fresh piece of raw turmeric and keep it in your mouth and chew it. Also, you can use powder in a Luke warm water with honey. Small tea spoon each twice or three times a day.

I feel your pain, I have exactly the same problem. I have tried everything, steroids, antibiotics, and every antihistamine on the market. I am also seeking a cure, nothing seems to help. If I discover anything that really works, I will surely let you know, please do likewise.

To be honest I think this is a reaction to the world's pollution. It affects some people whilst others have more resistance. If you have a weakness somewhere in the nose or throat, or perhaps narrower than average passages, then you develop a chronic problem of this nature.That's my 2 pennies worth.

I have the same problem too and mine started in 2010 and it just keeps getting worse, my doctor said it was caused from mold spores that were in the trailer I was renting I told me I had only lived there a few months 2 to be exact and had not seen any mold anywhere he just kept insisting that was what it was so I ignored him and it just got worse I went to move my bedroom to the back side of the trailer and as I picked up my printer off my desk to move there behind in on the wall it was covered in some black c**p that I had never seen before and it was sticky and smelled offal so when I moved the desk the whole wall was covered I also noticed that in my kitchen on my floor that was 12x12 ceramic tiles there were morel mushrooms growing up through the times so I picked the mushroom after I took the picture of it and pics of the black stuff and took it into my doctor and asked him if that was my problem and if it was what was causing my breathing problems and he said yes that it is black mold so they made him come in and replace all the sheet rock in that room and when he started to pull down the sheet rock there were nest after nest for wasps so all in all the health department condemned the trailer and he was made to give me back every penny he had ever taken from he for rent or deposits and had to burn the trailer now my doctor tells me i may have this problem for the rest of my life and I also have the lungs of a 97 year old woman all I know is I will not stop looking until I find a way to make this stop I can not stand it
