I am 69 so no menopause, and I have tried Prevacid, and I am still nauseated all the time and have this feeling in my chest of just being very sick. I also have loss of appetite and fill up quickly and feel very full for a long time after I eat a tiny bit of food. I have no energy and want to sleep all the time. I can't think of what this is related to.

I have had my fair share of nausea for at least five years now and believe it is perimenopause. I am also 46 years old and the only thing that seems to help me with the nausea is ginger chews by "The ginger people" You can get these at Whole Foods or order them online at Abe's market.

Hi there I have been experiencing similar symptoms for over 2 years. First I was diagnosed with acid reflux and an endoscopy showed damage to my stomach lining (gastritis) after taking a whole whack of various reflux medications. My doctor them prescribed me an anti-nauseant that they give to chemo patients...treating the symptoms, but not the problem! I finally went to a naturopath and he determined that I had high levels of candida. I have been on the candida diet and I have been feeling somewhat better after 2 months, but I still have some nausea, itching, headache and mucus discharge after bowel movements. I will be seeing him again tomorrow, but am also considering going to a Chinese medicine doctor for acupuncture.....have you been checked for candida?

You might have ulcer or even stomach cancer! You should have an endoscopy. You should also go to another doctor, a second opinion is always good.

Hi, my wife is 57 and has been experiencing the same symptoms that you described. Did you ever find out what was wrong, and did you find a remedy?

I know this is a long time ago, but for anyone coming across this post and reading...PLEASE get your IRON LEVELS checked...this person's dr was giving iron without assessing whether they were truly iron deficient. THis is a dangerous and life-threatening situation. With all the issues and symptoms, they needed to check whether this person is overloading iron. The symptoms they describe are consistent with iron overload, most often as a result of a genetic disorder called Hemochromatosis.

The tests to get a accurate picture of the iron in our body is ferritin, transferrin saturation%, TIBC and serum iron. CBC's are NOT enough...and a person can be anemic AND iron loading at the same time.

I wish I could talk to this person and find out how they are doing and if there was anything resolved.

Hope for anyone who reads this not to just let the dr give iron like its a miracle vitamin...it is toxic and dangerous metal!

i am not sure about the chills and heart palpitations...but the constant nausea...feeling full early, may possibly be gastroparesis...i know... i never heard of it either until 2007...and you can get diagnosed from a GI Doctor..ask your Family doctor to get a referral to a GI doctor...however if you have ulcerative colitis..you may already have one...i am not too familiar wilth the symptoms of Ulcerative colitis..my daughters friend was diagnosed with UC in 2010 and my 22 year old son has gastroparesis we were told in 2007....in summary go to a GI doctor...it could be so many reasons.. my son has been nautious worse than normal for a few months now...take care...all the best to you...

There is hope in God. I'm fifteen and I've had horrible symptoms for over a year now, and although I still have them, having the hope and faith that Jesus Christ is with me and he loves me and that I will one day be with him face-to-face really does help me even if I don't understand why I feel the way I do about these things.

hi there Bevemine

I have only just read your posts and im in the same boat....

A little about me..

46 year old..

always seemed to have a funny tummy

working with a naturopath..

i have found i have ; leaky gut, copper toxicity, dysfunctional liver, hormonal imbalances

i am doing work on balancing out my nutrients to remove the heavy metal from my liver, working on fixing my leaky gut (chronic overuse of nsaids/codeine), helping my unhappy liver, and balancing out my hormones....

i get depressed because of the daily nausea symptoms ( had these five years ago following a miscarriage and use of nsaids for chronic pain) resolved completely with naturopathic support of my gut liver and hormones

currently nausea to varying degrees every day since june 23 2012. argh! been fully investigated by drs..

sick of feeling sick

if anyone out there with same problem would like to contact me i would very much appreciate the friendship and support from someone who understands..

thanks

I'm a 46 year old female and have POS (poly-cystic ovarian syndrome), so it's hard to tell if I'm peri-menopausal since my periods have always been extremely irregular. Like most of you, I have been very nauseous with little to no appetite for 2 1/2 months now. I have lost 37 pounds because I barely eat. When I do eat, I immediately feel very full and nauseous. I barely sleep and vomit almost every day. I feel completely lethargic and weak, and now need to walk with a cane! Now I can only consume one bottle of Ensure per day. This all started when I came down with a very bad case of the flu (I was hospitalized due to dehydration). I just never seemed to recover. I tested positive for H Pylori, and took the week of antibiotics, but there was no change in how I felt. I have seen several doctors, had a gastroscopy, x-ray, tons of blood work, urine tests, stool tests and they found nothing. After reading all of these posts, I suspect it might be hormonal, however I don't know anyone who has good results with hormonal therapy. I too would love an explanation/suggestion for how to feel better.

You might want to be tested to see if you have H Pylori. I have had the same symptoms as you, and was tested positive for the stomach bacteria. I had to take 14 days of very strong antibiotics. Amoxicillin, Flagl, Pepto Bismol, and Zantac. This is called a quadruple therapy to eradicate the H Pylori. I was given the Urea Breath Test 6 weeks after the antibiotics and was tested negative. I was so sick with H Pylori that I became home bound for over a year. It was hell on earth. Please get checked. H Pylori can cause peptic ulcers, and stomach cancer. Good luck and I hope you get well.
