I had this problem a year and a half ago. Heavy bleeding, large clots, having to put towels on the seat of my car; practically a prisoner in my own home because the bleeding was so heavy and it never stopped. Nobody could tell me what was wrong. My iron went so low and I was sick and tired all the time. Went to the emergency room three times because I thought I was bleeding to death. They gave me some sort of birth control to help control the bleeding - didn't work. They gave me pills that stop blood flow - it didn't work.  I was finally sent to a gynacologist specialist - I had a large fibroid in my uterus. Lots of women get fibroids but only about 10% will have any problems with them. It was removed through day surgery and I was back to normal a couple of days later. I was watching the Dr. Oz show one evening and a lady in the audience was describing the same symptoms and she was so frustrated she started to cry - it was FIBROIDS. Google it and get some info about it. From all the symptoms I have read here and from my own personal experience, I would have to guess it is fibroids. Having gone through this myself, I can sympathize with you and I hope this helps. At least if you know what is causing it, you can fix it and go on with your life. Good Luck!!

I'm having the same problem. For the last 3 months I've had light/heavy vaginal bleeding inbetween my periods. Once I have my actuall period and then start the pill again I may get just about 1 full week where I'm completely fine without any problems then it all starts up again. I've been given antibiotics for bacterial vaganosis which did nothing. I've been given Utovlan - the first time this worked for me but this time around it's not stopping any of the bleeding. Sometimes I won't get any discharge then once I urinate and wipe myself it all kicks up and starts again. I'm going on holiday on Wednesday for 2 weeks and can't believe the Utovlan isn't working I'm so stressed out and my Dr. isn't doing anything about it?! I've been tested for STD/STI's and they all came back negative?! What the hell could be causing this and how can I stop it:'(

For the past 13 yrs I have been having periodic problems. Started like most 12-14 yr olds, but for some reason I had very sudden weight gain when I was 13/14 yrs old, where it seemed like my body went from mature to premature. I suddenly stopped having them and went on birth control every 3 months to even have one. Sometimes I would go from a yr to almost 2 yrs before my next one.

Well, starting in January of this yr, I have started having them regularly, but since the start of this one I have had non stop bleeding for almost 2 weeks now. Things are going very unusual for me, still being very overweight and only 25, and it's really started to scare me. It would go light for a day or two, then suddenly heavy with major cramping. I hope something gets figured out soon, I'm getting scared and hoping this doesn't ruin my chances of having a child.

I am so happy that i'm not alone! I have been to health units and everything, but of course I am overweight and all these doctors want to do is blame it on weight and that is a load of c**p! I have been bleading this time for 3 months already and last year I bled a whole 7 months and I have tried to go to these quack doctors where i'm from and they don't even want to examine me. They send me on my way with birth control and I'm sorry but I am newely married and any chance I have of having children I don't wanna kill myself with damn birth control. I don't know what to do anymore. Does anyone have any advice? Please any advice would be great!

Hi, Im Lily Sanders. Id like to tell you about my experience and my current treatment! Well, I first got my period when I was 12 yrs old and it lasted over two weeks long. My second period was almost 2 months long. It only got worse yrs down the line. I went from being a pretty, petite girl to a whale by the time I hit my early twenties! I was always depressed. I never let a guy near me. I just felt awkward and repulsive. Fast forward to 25 yrs old:  ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** web

....at first I was skeptical about actually finding useful information, but being at 181 lbs and looking about 6-7 months pregnant, I was desperate and prayed for a miracle. I was shocked to find that I was experiencing all of the symptoms listed on the website. I then made an appointment with my gynocologist and had xrays done. I was told that I indeed have several small fibroids and one the size of a lime which is the reason why my lower stomach has grown so far out. I have been taking the Fibrovan treatment for over 4 months now, and I also became a Vegan. I feel alot better. I am not bleeding like I use to. My stomach doesnt feel tight like it did before. I have lost two pant sizes. I have more energy throughout my day. Bottomline is, you dont need to go under the knife. There are other options to reduce fibroids. Hopefully this helps you. God bless you! (:

when they mention pregnancy..it doesnt necessarily mean that you have been pregnant..i could be abnormal tissue inside of your cervix..find a personal doctor and talk to them about that..i have =the exact same problem..and my dctor gave me lycesta its a rx that is suppose to stop the bleeding..

I also have similar problems I've had a uterine biopsy ultrasounds they found a small cyst no biggie I was just ckd lap for cervical cancer so I've been doing my own arising and have found a disease called adenomyosis it often goes undiagnosed cuz they usually don't find it there's no test for it or cure except hysterectomy and that's when they find it its Wen the uterine wall invades the muscle that surrounds it and it causes severe pain and large clots checkout out if all other tests are ruled out Wat else can it b good luck ladies hope this helped

YES Lord!  I thought it was just me.  I bled like a gutted pig the 3mos I was on them.  Oddly enough they put me on them to stop irregular bleeding.  Ironic!  I have the exact same problem (not as heavy) when I eat salads.  I bleed like crazy when I eat salads and other green healthy items like cucumbers, cabbage, greens, spinach, etc.  I think it might be the Vitamin K.  The id**t docs have no answers.  They just keep trying to give me an hysterectomy.  I will not allow doctors who are too lazy to find the answer to remove body parts to make their job easier.  Thank goodness for the internet.

Hi Lily, i am currently trying Antifibroid capsules from Budiance Health (have you heard of it)? i have fibroids and adeno and it makes me look abt 6-8 months pregnant. (depending on the cycle). But since 6 months ago, i have no cycle, i have been either bleeding or spotting everyday. The funny thing is i only bleed 1 episode a day, at a specific time, like once a night. Does fibrovan really work? what symptoms do it give you, if any? how long did you need to take before you saw a reduction?
