My goodness, I am so glad I am not the only one, and where the doctors don't believe you! I have been bleeding all year round as well for a couple of years, my period has never been right even when I was slim. Now I am 31 and I am sick of ruining my clothes chaffing and being embarrassed to go out. Please if anyone gets these ruthless doctors to listen please post it. Also if you get anything to stop it, please post it as well. I'm so glad, so very glad I'm not alone! Thank you for sharing your stories!

I kno ur pain...im 47 now and have always had what ur experiencing.sometimes its hereditary (my mom had this issue too.) And i kno doctors are cruel with their honesty. Have u seen a female ob/gyn? Or just male dr? I was told over and over that it was normal so i feel the same as you that no one beleived me. Then i started taking pictures of the blood clots, of the ruined clothes, the sheets with my camera phone so i had evidence to bring with me to the next dr visit. Now its because i am going through menopause. I bled like a stuck pig for three months straight....twice. i almost committed suicide because of it. No one understands what we go thru its not just an inconvenience it disrupts your whole life. It causes stress beyond a normal period would. I say try one more time for a female ob/gyn and take pictures. Good luck.

I have the same problem I have bleeding non stop for the last two months .. and it is always heavy with clots.. i have had 3 c - sections which resulted in 4 children ( twins 11 years ago), another child 4 years ago and another last year.. i went to my regular ob/gyn. And I was put on b/c .. i have a tubligation also. B/c never slowed down any thing. I went to have a second opinion. New gyno, made me feel very comfortable about, the fact this is not normal and he would help me figure out what it is and stop it.. He did a pelvic exam and pap. He said my uterus was enlarged.. i went for a transvaginal ultrasound today And the tech said everything looked fine... i felt so much relief when I seen the new gyno.. because it explained all the symptoms I have been experiencing lately and made me feel as if I am no crazy.. The constant headaches, night time nausea, sciatica problems, constipation, gas/indigestion everyday, feeling bloated, and extremely fatigued.. now I am basically crazy agian.. my husband agrees there has to something wrong and he is a doctor phobic.. He says no matter what I can't fake the constant heavy bleeding

I have had the same thing my entire life. I have had 2 blood transfusions because of it and I was 24 when I had the first one. I too am overweight and HATE when they blame that for my problems. I am going through this now. I don't know what to do. One of my former doctors gave me megace and it worked very well, but like I said that was a former doctor. I am seeing a new doctor but we have not found a way to stop the bleeding. It has been over 50 days and I'm very tired and fatigued. My suggestions are see a endocrinologist and a fertility specialist to make sure your hormone levels are where they should be. Good luck, you are in my prayers.

I am 34, had 3 kids and under a lot of stress inn my life. I was told by my Dr with my abnormal bleeding is a great possibility of a lingering internal uterine infection that the test could not pick up. I am still taking meds to treat the possible infection. My periods have not stopped. No large clots for me, I was in extreme pain like child birth and back pains and more. all of October I have had about 1 week and a half without my period. No sex, and I suffer as so does my husband. I'm hoping to find out after my meds if I can get a uterine scan again to see if my 2 inch cyst has grown and could be the problem. the cyst is on top of my uterus in the muscles. dr says possible its my thyroid, I do have a nodular goiter, a cyst on that. which is not active. Hope this helps. good luck.

Hello to everyone,

I found myself suffering from the same problem. I have two kids and I am 43 years old. My second child was born when I was 41. Today is November 24th 2014 and a few month ago I completely missed my period and thought that I became pregnant, but I was not. Then when my period started, it didn't stop ever for a 3 month already. I scheduled a visit to my doctor, but after the reading of so many responces here I am suspecting, that they will not find anything. I have the same picture, easy or very havy bleeding with clotts, but they never stop. Also, I can attest that after the last pregnancy I got some weight. Currently I am 165 lbs and all my life previously I was 110-120 lbs. So, I decided to make an experiment and to work on losing my weight. I think, and that is my theory, that by losing my extra weight the body will regulate the rest of the functions. If I am right then the bleeding should stop. Other then bleeding and my overweight I didn't notice anything different... Well, to achieve my goal and to lose my weight that will take some time, but I promice I will report my results. If someone will decide to have a similar experiment, please share the results here too. Maybe we can find a natural cure to our problems together? :)

Hi, I am 17 years old and I'm having the same problems. I have been bleeding for 7 months straight and it has stopped maybe two days out of the 7 months. I am 107 pounds and I've never had kids. The doctors won't give me a pap smear because I'm constantly bleeding a VERY heavy flow. I go through 3 super-plus tampons within a 24-hour day. I bleed so much that it has made me Anemic and it affects everything I do. Driving, school, and other activities. I'm hoping there's a doctor out there somewhere that will give us answers because this really sucks.

I have had this same thing as well. A few yes ago I had to have an ovary removed and also had a d&c. The dr said that my uterus lining was growing faster and thicker then normal. Which is why I am bleeding so heavy all the time. I also have ovarian cysts and a fibroid in my uterus. Now that I have insurance again I will be going on to the next step as to removing everything. I am 35. Not very happy about doing that. I would like to have kids but I don't think it is possible anyways

I have the same problem as you have experienced and i was diagnosed to have hypothyroidism...and i am taking levothyroxine 50mg that was my doctor's prescription...try to look for an endocrinologist because all your signs and symptoms are the same symptoms if you do have thyroid problem (hypothyroidism)

hello. I have the same problem. I can't remember the last time there was no bleeding. I bleed every single day. some days it is bearable and manageable. but some days it is so heavy I just cannot do anything. I have to change every 10-15 minutes. I'm only 20. I was diagnosed with pcos at 8 years old & had to have my Fallopian tube removed due to a large cyst at 8. I'm so physically and mentally exhausted. I've had the same issue as some others here as it had been blamed on me being overweight. I need help. I don't know what to do. :(

I'm so glad to find out I am not alone. I am 18, overweight, never even had sex or been on any form of birth control and I've had to wear pads for the past couple of months as there was constant bleeding. At first I brushed it off as I have always had irregular and long periods, but then I started getting the clots and it did make me worry (and also very uncomfortable). I spoke to my younger sister (aged 16 and very much a healthy weight) about the clots and she said she had never had anything like it happen. I have been too scarred about going to the doctor for fear of being told "just loose some weight" or anything like that. I will be booking a doctors appointment soon to see what they can do for me and hopefully get this sorted out so I can hopefully get back to a normal life.
