I have experienced neck pain, that at first didn’t know if was caused by swollen glands or bad posture. Then it has become severer and more intensive and spread on the head. It didn’t respond on naproxen. My sister told me that it can be corotidinia, she read something about that disorder that affects head and neck. What is corotidinia?

It is actually carotidinia. Carotid artery is blood vessel in neck, and some changes in this blood vessel cause pain in neck and head. This is not uncommon disorder. Carotidynia responds on medications that are used in migraine. But it can be misdiagnosed with chronic sinusitis or trigeminal neuralgia. You should better check this at your physician’s. Carotydinia often disappears in few weeks or months. But do not suffer that pain and wait that long for it to leave, visit your doctor.
