Same its terrible! I also wake up every 2 hours to bad nightmares. Has anyone else had that ?

This is happening to me. Maybe it’s because having a steroid injection increases your blood sugar and a symptom of hyperglycemia is frequent urination. I don’t know but that’s what I think.

Had steroid shot today & have been peeing nonstop. And now I’m dehydrated & having to drink nonstop, which causes more peeing. And the facial flushing is even more aggravating cuz I have MS & already have issues with body temp control. I feel like I’m in the hottest part of hell constantly looking for a bathroom.

How long did it last ? I have one 4 days ago. The 1st day was fine , nope every 15 minutes to an hour in in the bathroom. Feel like my bladder is gonna bust. Then it’s like 1/2 A cup or so

I have shots in each knee every 90 days and the first 5 or six are nonstop trips to urinate, even though i limit my fluid intake drastically, worse than lasix that does not last as long

I had cortisone in my my hip yesterday and it’s kept me up all night and peeing about every 40 minutes. They definitely need to add it to the list. Good to know I’m not the only one.

I had a cortisol shot in thumb, had painful flare & headache a few hrs after, for about 8 hrs. Then urgency to pee every couple minutes also for hrs. Drs were unsure it was connected. I got a uti test kit from pharmacy bc Drs thought I might have unrelated uti. Showed white blood cells only, no usual uti results & no painful symptoms. So wondering what is going on.

I have the same issue. I believe it may be that cortisone injections may raise blood sugar levels and our bodies try to get rid of that excess sugar by flushing it out - so we urinate a lot for awhile. Does every time with me, along with flushing of face and headache for a day or so. You are not alone!

I am glad i found this site as doctors say the excessive peeing is not due to my hip cortisone shot, 2 weeks ago. I am atill waking at night with excessive long pee sessions. Also experienced leg cramping (bad) about a week after the shot due to dehydration. Ive been taking some additional vitamin D, potassium and eating small meals as I am also nauseous during the day. I checked my sugar levels and they were a bit low for my usual. My usual during the day is 110 and i have been as low as 75. Also, my sugar levels spike to 175 if i eat anything sweet. That never happened before. Ive been reading that steroids can cause a temporary diabetic-like symptoms, hence explaining the excessive peeing and sugar fluctuations. I also have a low grade constant headache and wake up in the middle of the night…ar 3 am every day. I cant wait with this to go away! I also feel anxiety from feeling so sick all the time. Ugh!
