I had a Sacrolliac Joint steroid injection on November 17th (4 weeks ago) and had the super red face, swelling, pain at injection site that others mention. The frequent urination, 9x in the last 2 hours as an example, is happening to me also. It didn't start immediately after the shot; it has been building up over the last 3 weeks and this last week has been the worst! Does anyone have any idea of how long this is going to last? Someone please say it is going to end soon because it is driving me crazy and is affecting my work.

I also have a spinal cord injury, T2-T4, a mrsa lesion went to my spinal cord wreaking major havoc on my whole body. I am now stuck in a wheelchair. A week ago I had not one but two cortisone injections in my shoulder (doctor is claiming it's a rotator cuff issue, I believe it's a ruptured disc in my cervical spine; I've had 4 already, and also had a torn rotator cuff on the opposite shoulder so I know the difference as far as the pain goes - but can't argue with the good doctor, at least according to my pcp & my insurance. About 4-5 hours after my injections, it was like the dam broke loose! Every 20-30 minutes all night long and it hasn't stopped yet. I'm also so thirsty I can't get enough cold water but for every ounce I drink, it's like ten times the amount of urine going straight for my bladder. I'm diabetic but not enough that I take insulin. Metformin once a day and a weekly Ozempic shot. My normal numbers run 140-170 if I have more sugar than usual but that's not bad. My husband is an insulin dependent diabetic so I know how it works. I called my pcp because I though I had a uti - nope. Requested I do a finger stick to check my numbers, it was 302! Never had that happen ever! I'm not an id**t, I researched a lot of my symptoms on reputable websites, I dug deep enough to find out these stupid shots do cause incontinence, and thankfully, other people who have experienced it. Both my pcp and the physiatrist (fancy name for physician/physical therapist) don't believe the shots have anything to do with my incontinence. Physiatrist actually told his nurse to have me stop taking several of my meds I've been on for the last 3.5 yrs that were prescribed by my pcp, not him! I can't go to physical therapy or anywhere else thanks to this mess! Adding insult to injury, the injections did not even touch the pain. Sorry my post was so long, I'm just glad you all were willing to share your experiences. This incontinence issue is real! I hope you all have since gotten it taken care of and I hope some of you will do updates. Thanks for reading.
