My mom, aged 62, is suffering from severe osteoporosis - she just recently barely recovered from very serious hip fracture and the other scans showed she has also weakened bones in her other hip, neck and spine. Her doctor at her latest appointment has discussed with us option about her taking Prolia injections. Even though they seem convenient since she’d only have to have them twice a year, the side effects I’ve read about seem really scary, and even worse, her insurance won’t cover the entire cost of the treatment that could last for years.

So if anyone knows, how much does Prolia injections treatment costs without insurance?

My second Prolia injection wasn't covered by insurance. I paid $2,500 for one injection. It seems that the price can vary with providers
