I was a pack per day smoker for 17 years. I quit cold turkey 2 weeks ago. I have a blood cotinine test in a few days. By the time I take it I will be 17 days smoke free. Is this enough time for cotinine to be free and clear of my system and blood stream?
Hey, last year i was a pack a day smoker and stopped for 9 days before my blood test and passed. didnt do anything special, tho i normaly drink alot of fluids.

I quit smoking for 2 years with an e-cigarette (which had zero nicotine).  I went to vegas for NYE 12 and picked up the habit again for about 8 weeks.  I have to pass a biometric screening, one part of which is a cotinine test.  I don't know if it's blood or urine.  Does anyone have any idea how long the blood will show positive for nicotine?  I've stopped smoking but am worried.  I'm worried I have to be nicotine free for 6 months.  Does it take that long?
