I need to hear whether Hep C could be transmitted by using the same utensils. It is about my elder brother- he is now 38 years old and last week he was just found accidentally he has Hep C. weird thing for he never had no symptoms and is still looking pretty healthy it was just that our dad was hospitalized for some surgery and my brother was supposed to give his blood for him if necessary for they are of the same blood group and it turned out my brother is seriously seek actually. I am desperate for my brother now of course but since we still live together in the same apartment I would like to hear how am I suppose to behave and am very curious if Hep C could be transmitted by using the same kitchen utensils or face towels? Thanks.
I suppose your brother has already arranged further steps with his doc regarding his Hep C condition now and that is where he would be advised over Hep C treatment and also would be advised on how hep C could be transmitted. My husband is diagnosed with Hep C two years ago and I have learned how to behave and though I know that hep C could be transmitted only with blood and unprotected sexual intercourse therefore avoid staying in touch with your brother's wounds and avoid using the same towels and tooth brush and as for the utensils it is not like Hep. C could be transmitted by using the same eating utensils but still who knows whether he has some wound in his mouth so I advice don’t share utensils with him just as precaution.
