Recently I have noticed that my left testicle is somewhat softer and smoother than my right. Sometimes my right testicle feels normal (but still pretty much always feels less smooth), but sometimes I can even feel an area of hardness which can feel similar to a lump.
It seems that when I am sat down it feels more normal i.e. smoother (but not as smooth as the left). When I stand up it seems less smooth and more "wrinkly" and sometimes it is hard.
I'm concerned there is a chance that this may be very early signs of testicular cancer. I'm considering going to the doctors on Monday. I've told my parents, but they are skeptical (because I'm a chronic worrier, they put it down to paranoia) and their view is that they will take me to the doctors just to reassure me that nothing is wrong.
Could this be a sign of cancer? Is there anything wrong? What could be causing this feeling?
