Hi, I am also new here. I have been on Cymbalte 60mg for 7 years, then went down to 30mg some 6 months ago, then started weening off, until I could take one every third day and cope with that. Last week Friday evening I took my last il, the weekend went fine, but now I live in hell. Almost a week now, can't turn back. How long will this take to finally get out of my system? Can't cope right now. Brain swishes are severe, sweating, terrible headache. Please give me good news!!

I am in the process of going off this medicine. It is awful. Within 24 hours of going from 60 mg to 30 mg my neck started hurting so bad it was awful. I am on the 8th day now and the pain in my neck is getting worse every day, starting to work its way down my arm and up into the back of my head. No amount of pain medicine is helping me. Any advice?
After 4 years of depression and several failed medication combinations, Cymbalta pulled me through. I added it to Lamotrigine, Abilify, Seroquel, and Topamax. I am on 120mg/day of Cymbalta for 1 year. It was very challenging to stick to the regimen due to the sweating and upset stomach that accompanied the morning doses but I am happy to have found the drug and to have had the opportunity to get better on it. However, withdawal cold turkey is like a cat-in-heat! I can't move without these blackout feelings in my head and I am very faint and dizzy. I am nauseous constantly with a weak and shaky stance. I am surviving on Ginger Ale and Natural Gravol. Oh and Ativan to calm these horrible mood swings that are so humiliating I cannot leave the house. I even cried ordering the pizza, which I find I am starving so I should have ordered 5. You feel tired and annoyed because you have energy and the mind to do things but not the stability and physical strength to carry it out.
Nooooooooooooooooo, don't take it, pleeeez if you are thinking of a pregnancy. God only knows what this will do to a baby in the womb. Look at what it does to your body on it and off it.
your not alone with the weight. i gained 40 lbs on cymbalta for 2 years, now that i recently stopped it i have gained another 10 lbs.I have been off the cymbalta for about 3 months now and the wight gain seems to be leveling out. now I need to somehow lose all the weight.
I'm just trying to deal with symptoms! I got a lot of vitamins and using ice pack on leg and heating pad on arm! This has been the worst experience ever!
Sincerely, OVER IT!!!
