I have been having them now for about 10 years. :'(
Just recently though I decided to try something new, ICE.
I usually squeeze them when the pressure builds up and it itches and burns so bad I just can't stand it.
I put an icepack wrapped in a facecloth INSTEAD of squeezing.
It seems to be improving the situation.
The itching stops, it is shrinking.
I hold the icepack on there for at least an hour a night.

I have been to doctors about this problem, 8 of them. I got NO help or good advice. One said to put heat on it which hasn't helped at all. Now I am doing the ice thing and it IS helping them shrink and stop hurting.
Once they gave me Zovirax tablets thinking it MAY be a virus causing them but it did nothing. I have also been on numerous antibiotics which didn't help either.
I am thinking maybe it has to do with my diet. For a lot of years I was frying things, chicken, veggies etc. and that seems to be when all this started. I gained some weight, which I didn't NEED and then all this cyst business started.
I stopped frying and have dropped about 40 pounds in 8 months without doing anything else differently.
I have also TRIED to increase my water intake by an extra quart a day. That seems to be helping a little. When I neglect the extra water the cysts do seem to increase.
I am thinking I have too much circulating fats in my blood. Anyone else thought of this before? And since I am slowly losing weight I am wondering if the stored fat now circulates in my blood too? When you lose weight does the fat just dissolve or does it go through your bloodsteam first? Will I have to get rid of all my excess fat before the cysts go away? I am thinking it's a process of elimination because when I was super skinny I never had any skin problems.
