Diagnosed with Epididymitis, question about it.

I've been diagnoses with Epididymitis and have had it for about 2 weeks now. As hard as it is to ask, I am curious as to whether it's safe or not to masturbate with this infection? I have been taking antibiotics and the symptoms have died down a bit, but I still have pain, and I am afraid that if I masturbate I might make it worse. Anyone have any idea if it's safe to do so? It lasts for 4-8 weeks, I just cant imagine waiting that long :'(
