Hello. My name is Lena and I am 37 years old. I am writing this post from the hospital. Three days ago we had some birthday party and some kid pushed me into swimming pool. I am scared of the water and I got really stressed in this situation. Luckily, my friends were there and they do know that I am scared of water. Because I was freaked out they took me to the hospital to check what is going on with me. Well, nothing good. Doctor diagnosed a left ventricular hypertrophy. The biggest problem is because I am very obese - I can say morbidly obese. What to do now?

Hello there. Ouch, that must be really scary for you. I am claustrophobic and I think that my heart is going to explode every time when I am in the elevator or some small space. Well, don’t get me wrong but people with extra pounds are more likely to get some heart disease. I am not surprised because you are diagnosed with left ventricular hypertrophy. You need to lose your weight as soon as you can if you want to live longer. You can treat this with some medications but nothing can help you if you are obese. Try with some diet program or some good fitness program.

Hey there. Well generally morbidly obese is big problem and you need to do something about it quickly. Left ventricular hypertrophy is not that huge problem if you treat it on time and if you treat it right. Now, I am not that sure for how long you are dealing with this problem, but treatment could help you. But you need to know that obesity is big problem and it can cause a lot of cardio problems to you. Have you talked to your doctor about this? Did he recommended you any diet program and for how long you will need to follow it?

It is very easy to diagnose the left ventricular hypertrophy. You can easily diagnose it with ECG. When the myocardium is hypertrophied there is a large mass of myocardium for electrical activation to pass through and thus the amplitude of the ventricular depolarization is increased. When you are obese it can only make things difficult to you and your heart. But as I can see you already do know this and I really wish you all the best in the treating it. You need to lose your weight and you need to find some healthy diet for you.
Have a nice day.

Hey there. I don’t want to ask you how many pounds you have since you already told us that you are morbidly obese. My friend has issue with her weight and she is not that obese. Because of some extra pounds he started to have heart issues. I just can imagine what is going on in your case. Left ventricular hypertrophy can be extremely dangerous if you don’t treat it, and it is not good even that you have extra pounds. So, try some healthy diet program, maybe you should find some nutritionist to help you to lose your weight naturally.
