My husband is 31and prior to about a year ago, in generally good health. About a year ago, his left knee and right elbow swelled due to no known trauma or anything and he has since also experienced relatively dramatic weight loss; he is 6' and used to weigh 170 lbs. Currently, I believe he's at about 147. Over the last year, he has repeatedly seen his primary care physician as well as a rheumatologist, endocrinologist, physical therapist, and gastroenterologist. He's not any better and although his symptoms haven't gotten much worse, they are certainly taking a toll on him (and our family). We have two preschoolers whom he can no longer run around with and I suspect that depression is starting to sink in. Last week he underwent an endoscopy, which came back clean so the Dr. now wants to do a colonoscopy, which is scheduled for next Friday.
Blood work has all come back "normal" with the exception of a slight case of anemia and "bad" cholesterol being too low. They've ruled out everything including Lyme disease (we requested that they run both panels). It kills me to see him like this. Help, please!
