The same thing used to happen to me. It started when I was less than 10 and lasted until my late 20s. It matches the description of "Alice in Wonderland Syndrome." Google that, and you will find some info.

I suffer from this it started at a young age maybe 5 I was laying under my grandmothers coffee table watching TV and suddenly its like the TV was getting smaller tho it wasn't. Unfortunately my daughter just tonight told me the same thing she's just twelve I don't know what to do.

Hi there, its very interesting to read about this. My 9 year old son has recently been experiencing these same symptoms. How ever in the last week he had been having some fevers and head aches. He also suffers from night terrors. Was wondering if your daughter has ever had night terrors? Ive read that they are more common in boys though.

"things looking and sounding far away"... pretty positive this is a side effect of running a higher temperature. Some fever reducing medications and staying hydrated should help.
