U suffer from this normally 5-6 times a year. I find that getting out of bed and rinsing my face with cold water works wonders for me. This might not work for you but thought I would let you know what helps me and maybe would help others.

I get this very often. Mostly when i stare at the tv or monitor for too long. I first got this when i was about 10 years old, i was very sick at that time and i laid in bed looking at the ceiling and it looked pretty fat away. But now i keep getting it about 1 or 2 times every month. I usually just close my eyes and put my hand very close to my face and focus on it for about a minute or two and most of the times it will go away.

This happened to my mom a lot and it happens to my way more than her. I never told anyone before I thought it was weird at first but now I think is really cool I still don’t know what it is but I’m starting to see it as something fascinating

REASON and how to FIX: Its called https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_in_Wonderland_syndrome. I have had these more when i was kid. Now it occured first time for tens of years and had to google it. It is caused because lack of sleep and if you have been concentrating on monitor or something close to your eyes too long. You can fix this by closing other eye for 10 seconds, then other eye 10 seconds. Concentrate your vision to object far away while doing so. Its probably because eyes got tired and their concentration is set to close range.

I’ve heard of Alice in Wonderland Syndrome before, and I do not think that is the case, AWS is a syndrome where something extremely bizarre starts to happen when it obviously isn’t happening (f.e. A painting starts to spin at 100 mph) it will seem really realistic when you know for sure it’s not real at all, this however is not AWS because everything just seems far away, and I’ve had this happen to me a few times when I was younger, but it’s never happened to me for years

I'm 13 now, and this happens when I get sick, like right now. Stuff seems, like, farther away or smaller, and sometimes beeps echo in my ear and get louder if I don't take care of it. There's nothing I can do except read or watch a video, and when I read, I noticed the letters on the pages were a lot smaller. If I still didn't do anything, since this usually happened at night, it once progressed to a sort of hallucination. Even when just the distorted vision starts, I get really upset and panicky, and I can't explain why. Just closing my eyes doesn't help. Sometimes, sounds of my parents saying or yelling something echo in my ears, and it made me really uncomfortable, disturbed, upset, and even frightened. I can't explain it and I've found nothing about my symptoms, except your reply. I really hate it, and I just can't tolerate or deal with the weird vision, swelling beeps, and hallucinations. Like many others have said, things still are pretty clear, and it's so hard describing it. Noises get louder, clearer, and slower. It's the strangest thing.

I am 16 now and have been experiencing this for about a year. I have been to the doctors the first time this happened. My blood was tested and nothing was found. I woke up at around 1 am one night but i couldn't seem to go back to sleep or shake off this syndrome. I was really scared that i wouldn't come back to normal and i usually get it every so often but not as bad as then
