Hi-
For about 3 months I have been experiencing diverse abodominal pains and "sourness" which comes and goes and doesn't seem to be consistantly caused by eating or not eating. The dull pains move around in all four quadrants of my abdomin...never two at the same time... and sometimes radiate into my back at various places. My stomach will be a little sour from time to time as well. Most days I have some type of pain or sourness going on but then it will go away and maybe show up the next day or hours later somewhere else. I did have an upper endo and am being treated for a very small Barretts tongue in my esophagus but that shouldn't be causing any symptoms. I'm taking nexium and carafate even though I don't have an ulcer...they did also find some mild gastritis but I'm told that this shouldn't cause my pains. I'm wondering if this is a long term stress reaction...I've been under a lot for the past year...or if there is something physiological going on. My bowel and urinary processes seem normal. My doctor doesn't seem very concerned and is thinking it is probably anxiety...just not sure how long that should last. Any ideas or anyone that has gone through this will be much appreciated.
Thanks
Tim
