What about terminology in running? I don’t know anything about it and when I read articles about this sport I really have problems to understand certain parts. Do you think that it’s necessary for a recreational runner to get to know the terminology and why? How do you rate your knowledge of running terminology? Where do you learn from?

That all depends. I think that even recreational runners must know some basic and fundamental areas of terminology. I can’t boast that I know much but I’m trying to learn. For example, a few months ago I had no idea about what exactly pronation and its types are and what kind of running shoes are there. And now, I know. I read articles about running and when I come across something I don’t understand I look it up in a dictionary and try to memorize it. Sometimes I realize the meaning from the context and the more I’m reading the more terms and specialized words I learn. I suggest you to do the same and not just skip the word you don’t understand.
