I have been on the pill for nearly two years now and i used to be very very slim and sporty but i have put on a lot of weight and i don't blame the pill i blame having a boyfriend and sitting in with a chinese and dvd most weekends lol but i have been eating lots of fruit drinking nearly 3 litres of water a day, eating really healthily throughout the entire day and exercising 5 times a week atleast. However, i don't seem to be losing as much weight as i no i should be losing do you think it can be the effects of being on the pill? I do around half an hour to forty minutes on a treadmill and sometimes for a change i would do my workout dvd instead, could i just be doing something wrong with my diet perhaps?

i found that when i went on the combined pill 4 years ago and was on it for 2 years that i put on weight noticeably where before i had been very slim, like you. i also found losing the weight really difficult even though i ate a healthy diet and exercised fairly regularly. i don't know the medical facts behind it all but when i talked to friends about the problem they agreed that weight gain and loss were both issues they associated with taking the pill. when i came off it i found it easier to lose the weight.
