My daughter was checked on dec 30, 2013 and her hcg levels were 405. Two weeks later she had an ultrasound. The gestational sac measured 5 cm but was empty. The tech was rude and said she lost the baby and got the doctor. I asked if it was possible that she wasn't far enough along. She said it was a 1 % chance but she would do blood work. Blood work showed her levels were 32,109 so she ordered another ultrasound for one week. Went back gestational sac still empty measuring 8cm but could still be only 4 weeks along. Dr said sac shrunk when measurements said otherwise. Asked for another blood test but she insisted on d/c. We told her we would wait it out. No signs of miscarrying so went to regular dr 2 1/2 weeks later for pregnancy test. She did levels and they were 79,903 so we are now going to another OB dr. We are praying for a miracle.
