Hello, doctor has prescribed duphaston 3 tablets (each 10mg) in a day. I am 5 week pregnant. Is the dose is okay or not?? How many days I will continue it?? Pls suggest.

My last period was 16 Oct 2016. According to 28 days cycle next date is 14 Oct 2016. But I had spotting on 12 Nov and light bleeding only morning in the next day. My beta hcg was negative. Dr suggest me to take duphaston,ecosprin & folneed.After taking this I have little bleeding for the next 3 days.Started from 29 Nov to 01 Dec 2016. Is there any chances to conceive? Dr told me to take ultrasound & hcg test after 10 days. Is it safe to have sex now a days?

Hi Please reply me back I has two babies and last baby of 5 years age , last miscarriage was 3 years back, since now I was trying for conception but due to PCO,s not conceived. recentally I conceived now iam on 5th week my docton prescribed me Duphaston twice a day wth Asprin OD dosage for 15 days may I keep it continue is it safe and essential for Pregnency prevention and supportive treatment for fetus and mother.

I have had similar experience and my OB, who is also the best in the country, prescribed me to take one each day since my pregnancy had confirmed. I am 36 and had got pregnant using clomid. And at 8 weeks when the baby's growth slowing down by 2 weeks, I was prescribed to take 3 a day for a week. Unfortunately I had spotting and miscarried my baby. The worst part is side effects after the miscarriege. I suddenly had hypertension reaching 140/90. And it is continuing for 2 weeks until now. I have had checked all my kidneys, heart, pelvis, uterus and thyroid gland. All came clear and cannot find reason. Doctor said it's stress. But I know it's not just stress, cause I'm not that feeling blue about what happened to me. And only thing I did differently during my pregnancy was having Duphaston. I have 1 child previously, and couple of abortion. Never felt this bad. My body is just not functioning properly. And I am really concerned with that it's banned in USA and UK. But in Mongolia, every OB is prescribing it and insist it is very safe medicine. I decide never take this medicine again.
