Hi, I need some advice about taking Enbrel shots. I am suffering from arthritis and doctor thinks that it will help me. I am going to take the shots 50 mg once a week. I would like to hear some tips about taking those shots because I have heard that it can burn like hell. Is it true?
It may burn but only if you are not skilled enough. But I think that you will avoid that if you follow this few tips. First of all leave enbrel out for 30 minutes before taking shot. I give myself shot in stomach from underneath and I think that it is the best place. Be sure to wait for alcohol, which your rub on the spot for the shot, to evaporate before taking shot. It will help you to avoid burning. Now you are ready for enbrel shots. Best of luck.

I take my shots on Sundays. It is the day that I have more time in the mornings. I leave my shot out for at least 40 minutes. Use the alchol pad, wait for it to dry. This will help to reduce stinging. Then I give myself my injection in my thigh. I rotate the leg each week. Some of the injuections are a little painful and get a bump but most of the time it is just a little sting. Make sure you dispose your injector into the disposal container. We must all do our part to make sure it is disposed of properly. Hope this helps some of you.
