hi im 18 yrs old. i got shot in the testicles and in my upper left thigh and my left butcheek. they did a testicular repair. meaning they healed my testicle and sewed it back up. there is a bullet still in my back above the buttox on the right hand side. i went to the doctor that repaired me testicle and told him that im having erection problems and he asked me do i have normal orgams. i sed yes because i do. he then said that then the testicle that was injured and repaird is not wats causing the erection problems because the testicles have nothing to do with the penis getting hard and etc etc.. i no 4 sure thats its definetly not a psycological issue here. when i have sex wiit my girl i get hard but i feel it getting soft a lil bit as im having intercourse wit her. its hard 4 me to get hard,,and when i finally do its hard to sustain 1. when im bout to have an orgasm its hard but not as hard as it use to be b4 i got shot. and after the orgasm it gets soft immedialty. i still feel numb in some areas of my thighs and buttox. im gona tell the doctor all of this stuff.. i jus would like to no ur diagnosis to this problem, and can it be fixed?

in response to the first post,

it is true that the testicales have little to do with erections for the majority od cases, but if your testicales were damaged as you describe, then it might actualyl be a problem there. The solution I came up with is that, due to the injury your body may not be producing the correct or high enough levels of testosterone which would lead to a soft erection or loosing an erection during sex. There are also alot of personal causes for your peoblem, stress, mood, depression, even the air tempature can influnce your erection quality.

I would go to the doctor and explain that your havign a drop off in your erection duration and frequency, and would ask for a testosterone check. As far as loosing your erection after cumming, that part is normal for nearly all guys as the body needs to "reset" the nerves after cumming and being at full sensation.

Depending on your age the doctor might recommend items similar to Viagra if he finds that your levels of test. are normal. I know I need to persue this same problem myself, I know from testing that my levels are not where a 22 year old should be , Im lower by a fair amount and that is what is causing mine.
