Hi. I'm 25 year old male and I have some questions about the thing that happened to me few days ago.
I have never before shaved my armpit but all this year I have suffered from profuse sweating and someone told me that shaving will help. So I did it! And my sweating stopped but I started to suffer from other problems.
First, it was extensive itching, but after a day or to some small skin lesions appeared which were very painful, red and itchy.
Please tell me what this could be. Is this some bacterial infection or it has something to do with my lymph nodes which are present in big number in this region?

I had the same problem last year and it has nothing to do with lymph nodes. It was connected with bacterial skin infection caused by one bacterium called Corynebacterium minutissimum.
Most frequent locations of this infection are groin region and armpit.
You have probably, during your shaving, cut your self a bit and that’s how the bacterium entered a skin.
Beside red rush and itchy feeling you will probably not going to have any other symptoms because these infections are not accompanied with fever or some other systematic signs like swollen lymph nodes.
Antibacterial and antifungal medications are used to eradicate Corynebacterium minutissimum and prevent possible recurent infection.
