Hi, two days ago I went to see the ophthalmologist for a regular yearly check up. He measured my eye pressure as always, but this time he determined that it was higher than usual. I was very surprised because I did not have any symptoms that would indicate that I have eye pressure. I am concerned about the consequences of high eye pressure. Have you had any experience with eye pressure?

Hi, I found out about my high eye pressure the same way you did. When I was diagnosed I was fifty five years old. My ophthalmologist told me that high eye pressure is common with postmenopausal women. He prescribed me some eye drops that can help with eye pressure. I was very concerned about my eye sight because he told me that high eye pressure can lead to permanent optic nerve damage. I was not going to let that happen so I decided to follow doctor's orders to the letter. It has been three years since I was originally diagnosed with high eye pressure and my eye sight is excellent. I hope that you will have the same experience.
