I am a 51 yr. old female with horrific burning pain in the bottom of my feet for almost 7 years now. I've had every test, blood work and check up done that I can find out there. I am not diabetic or pre-diabetic. The pain starts about the ball of my feet and goes up to the ends of my toes, but only on the bottom of both feet. There seems to be nothing in particular that set this off. I'm still going through pre-menopause as well but the symptoms of even that are quite mild.
It feels like I have on super tight warm socks 24/7. There is never any relief time and laying down is the worse. My sleep has been quite damaged for years now. The only thing to take the edge off the pain (from a 10 down to a 7 or 8) is Morphine. I first tried every thing out there from Gabapentin to Lyrica and so much more.
I just can't imagine living the entire rest of my life like this. It's quite crippling to every day things and extremely limiting to my physical activity and being able to enjoy the things I used to enjoy in life. Which now include Grandchildren. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY FAMILIAR SYMPTOMS OR ANWSERS OUT THERE??????? I WOULD BE MUCH APRECIATED!!!!! Thank You!

Hi, Essie i've lived w/ that feeling for a very long time, and without knowing what the heck it was. finally i asked my new dr., and she said it's related to my severe back problems, and although i've already have had 2 surgeries on my back i still live w/ the same pain. ask your dr. to give you an an MRI, if she/he hasn't already, and maybe see if it's that. hope evrything works out for you, and finally get some relief..

Thank you so much Hennesey! That's a real confirmation to what my Doctor's and Chiropractor all came up with just last week as well! My health checks out great but my severe scoliosis and back issues do not. So, we thought, just perhaps this is something that we can keep working on through chiropractor adjustments and massage therapy, especially on the low back and glutes. I'm so sorry you've had the same problem. It's really quite crippling to activities and/or doing "much" on most days. I hope it will eventually turn around for you and thanks again for taking the time to respond! I really appreciate it!
Esther
