Hi, i have an eye muscle problem. I think it was caused by too much close work.. My eye muscles have had to contract too much for close work and now my vision is blurry for distance (better in morning than evening). When my vision goes blurry it causes eye starin for distance which leads to symptons such as tiredness, headaches etc.. I have some bifocals (+ reading prescription bottom and -0.75 fo distance) i dont use them for distance as i kow that that will cause my eye muscles to over accomodate.. If i wear my reading part of bifocals for reading and dont wear nything for distance then much of the symptons (pains, tiredness etc) are elieviated. This is because, as i understand, my eye muscles are being relaxed for close work so arent as bad for distance and therefoer strain from having to focus for distance doesnt occur. So i am basically relaxing my eye muscles for close work and relaxing for distance. Whereas, most normal eye muscles contract for close and relax for distance. Was wondering if relaxing eye muscles is helping relax eyes from being stuck in contract (close) mode for distance and if not contracting can have negative effects on eye muscles (ie, cause them to become even weaker). Also wondering if eye exercises could help stengthn eye muscles so dont get stuck in contract mode whenever do close work and so will be able to go without wearing any glasses at all.. Thanks, sorry theres alot to read.. :-)

I recently started doing eye exercises to try to improve my vision. I created a blog where I record my progress with the exercises.

I recently saw some improvement. Other people (who have also experienced improvements) have posted comments about their experiences as well. You can check it out at: improvingmyeyesight.com/blog

What I have also found is that my eyes certainly feel more relaxed.

Also, here there are things that you can do to reduce the strain you get from doing close work.

Hope this helps...
