I am a 28 year old female and this sounds exactly like how I've been feeling. I can sleep alot or a little and I'm still extremely tired every day. I also get headaches and heart palpiltations frequently. I have a doctor's appt. for this coming Monday, August 4th so I'll let you know what I find out. Maybe it can help you. I know exactly how you feel so anything I can do to help.

Hello
I'm nineteen years old as well
I'm always tired
No matter how much sleep I get I'm tired.
I can sleep for more then 12 hours and feel tired the whole day
And can't wait to get to sleep,
Also at night I cannot fall asleep I just lay and think
About random things or worry.

Also even if you are not enemic take vitamin pills.
It will help you cause low iron can cause alot of problems
It can cause dissiness ect. So please just try it.
Let me know.

Try talking to your doctor. I was experiencing extreme tiredness and believed I had mono. I went in and was sent to see a sleep specialist. Turned out I have narcolepsy. I can sleep 19 hours a day if I'm not on medication to stay awake. Doctors will prescribe medication such as Ritalin (I know that it's usually used for ADD or ADHD, but on a tired person it works better then caffeine because it's a stimulant.) Whether that's your issue or not- sleep is important! There are many sleep disorders out there. Search "sleep disorders" on the web. Knowing whats wrong helps.

What I can say for sure is...
*keep a regular sleep schedule. Get up and go to sleep at a regular time- it makes a difference, even though it sounds like a drag.
*Exercise is good- to much sleep can slow down your metabolism, so keep up the exercise.
*Don't take long naps. Keep them around 20 minutes. Sleeping much longer then that can lead to grogginess (it has to do with the sleep cycle).
*Try not to rely too heavily on caffeine- the crash is worse later if you are already exhausted!

If you sleep issues are interfering with your daily activities see a specialist. (And PLEASE don't drive when you're too tired!)
