Is there any way out for people suffering from depression when drugs do not work? I have to say that it is not an easy thing to see your mother fighting with depression each and every day and constantly loosing all battles. I just wish there is some safe method for her to at least subdue the symptoms.
Well, there are some relatively new methods, deep brain stimulation would be one of those, but it includes electrotherapy and I am not sure if your mother would like that idea. Although I have to admit that it did show effectiveness and the alleviation of the depression symptoms. So, I guess you could go for the consultation and get to know all pros and contras of this method.
