Well, the bacteria that cause Hot tub folliculitis can be so annoying. It is called Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It may not need a treatment but sometimes you just can’t get rid of them and they may infect all the body parts that have been in contact with contaminated water. I even heard that it can be spread by touching to other parts of the body, so just don’t touch it.
The rash that appeared usually goes away in 7-10 days and like I have already said, it may or may not need treatment. However, once the rash is gone, it may leave hyperpigmented lesion that may persist for a few next months.
Fever is not so common but infected people may feel fatigue at the initial stage. Considering you got an antibiotic, you must have run into a more resistant type but it will go away. Just keep to the treatment the doctor provided you with.
