Thank you for your post. I can't say enough how I appreciate your positive outlook and approach. There is a lot of c**p on the internet & most people do not look at the bright side of situations. I am meeting with a surgeon next week and will be having my gallbladder removed. Yes, I am scared because it is a surgery to remove an organ but I know there is a bright side right around the corner !! When you experience the pain and other symptoms we have you know removal is for the best.

Hi. Would love to hear your opinion. I'm having bad abdominal pain. Vomiting. Diarhea. Nausea. Dizziness. Went to ER. I did a Hide-a-scan and ejection fraction was only 6%. However they also told me my stools were positive for a strand of food poisening called campylobacter. They sent me home with antibiotics basically telling me the diarrhea from the food poising messed with the Hide a Scan results. Now I'm home and vomiting again. Would you remonend going in for 2nd opinion at other major hospital?

Thanks.

Would you suggest surgery for 14% as well? Thanks!

I also had a 7% gall bladder ejection fraction. I then had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy(gall bladder removal with tint incision. Be prepared for "bile dumping syndrome that happens when you eat fatty, high lactose or fried foods. This produces green diarrhea. Ask your MD for a Rx of Lomotil & take 2 Pepto Bismol tablets at once every morning. It took me 2 years to get back to normal, but I wouldn't wish that horrible pre-surgery constant nausea on my worst enemy!!

Hi, my name is Iris and I have the same percentage, 31, from my HiDA scan. The nurse practicioner I see said I would probably live the rest of my life with no gallbladder problems, I am 61. I was wondering if you got any answers from your post. I was having nausea mainly at night but no other symptoms. Now the nausea had pretty much subsided but I will have an endoscope in 2 weeks. Did you get better and what were your symptoms?

Hello I had 4% rate in my HIDA scan , got s surgery 5 days ago , reflux and acidity went away like magic , first two days are the worst if you don't like to take pain killer , otherwise just a discomfort but eating again and your body liking what you eat it's gold :)

I would see another surgeon, mine is at 25 % and they have recommended removal because of the symptoms, Nausea, lower back pain, shoulder pain and discomfort on my right side including acid reflux.
