This also helps heal burns. I have used it for years. I've also seen it applied to a bandage and taped over an infected eye. Next morning, eye swelling was gone and bandage full of icky infection. It's an old Indian remedy taught to me by my step dad that his mother taught him. She was full blood Choctaw.

You are wrong. They are two totally different things. Gaulding is a verb meaning, to make sore by rubbing. Galling is annoying, humiliating.

Has anyone used alum in the pockets to prevent gaulding in the pubic area. And, if this woirks, could one also use styptic pencil to do the same thing. I know that the ingredients are different for each type of substance but they do the relatively same thing and that is absorb moisture.
