Hi, I'm 20 and my girlfriend is 23, she had the implant inserted before we first had sex. It tends to throw off her hormones and can't get to grips with her periods. But sometimes she demands sex and I'm not complaining but it's a rare occurance now. I love her and it's not all about sex but I just want to know if the contraceptive implant lowers the sex drive.
Yes it can mess with her sex drive. Has she acknowledged her lack of sex drive? Have you talked to her about it? I would suggest having her talk to a doctor and maybe getting on a different form of birth control. One that doesn't mess with her drive so much and one that maybe regulates her period better.
