What is the Gonsted method?

Dr. Gonsted was a chiropractor who developed severe arthritis that affected the normal shape of the bones in his hands.

As a result he had to develop new adjusting positions for his hands. He was a very big man with very big fingers. The technique worked for him and he subsequently taught it to other chiropractors.

It is considered a mainstream technique, is very effective if the doctor who uses the technique has truly mastered it. In the mean time patients wonder if they hurt more after the adjustment than they did before.
It is considered by many to be the most forceful technique in chiropractic.
There is also a specific x-ray analysis associated with this that is extremely accurate and many doctors use this without using the actual technique.
