For the past 3 weeks I have had a pea sized growth inside my scrotum. Initially it was painful and my balls felt heavy but after a visit to the doctor and not being able to find it upon inspection he thought it was some kind of std, which I was positive it wasn't. He gave me medication for swelling as he then thought that it was some kind of "cyst"/fluid buildup.
There is no longer any pain, but the growth continues to remain. Its not attached to a testicle, however its close to the "penis bone" and I can easily get "hold" of it. It feels like it is part/on a vein?
What is the possibility of it being?

It does sound more like a cyst.
See a urologist, not your regular doctor. This is what they specialize in.
