And where do you get them? Since I have caught up on the laundry I seem to over run with bedding. 8O

I believe most vacuum cleaners will do that if you move the hose to the other end. The bag you sue is the special item made for that purpose. Removing the air from a storage bag will surely reduce it's size.

Get a garbage bag - one of those thirty gallon ones. Put the comforter into the bag. Put the hose attachment on your vacuum cleaner, and stick the business end of that in between the folded comforter. Wrap the opening of the bag tightly around the attachment. Turn on the vac - it'll suck all the air out of the bag and the comforter, and the thing will flatten out. Once you've shut off the vacuum, pull the atttachment out of the bag and tie up the bag - do it QUICKLY - don't let the air back in. When you're ready to use the comforter, simply take it out of the bag... it will fluff up with air in moments. Also works with pillows, big pieces of clothing, and pets. P.S. - Have done this myself (no, not C), and it works.

lots of home stores have them too.

we used them on our vacation and did not notice a real big space savings. I would not use them for travel again.

Storage however though I would

I've seen them at the container store. I haven't tried them, but my mom loves them for storage.
