Hi, this is a bit of an odd question - kind of embarrassing, actually. I just got a bunch of dark brown discharge, kind of out of nowhere. My period ended at week ago at the very least, and I don't recall having gotten brown discharge before at all, though I know it can just be from blood coming out too slowly and it oxidizing. I'm not sexually active, but my whole life I've been prone to UTIs - getting them seemingly out of nowhere despite my efforts to take care of myself, but I have only one kidney so that might have a part to play.
Right now I am also laying down (or very slightly sitting up) the majority of the time because I'm keeping my foot elevated on doctor's orders almost a month post-op. I'm on the hormonal birth control pill and have recently (since Christmas) started experiencing quite a bit of breakthrough bleeding as well as earlier (but thankfully lighter) periods.
Am I alright? Is this just leftover blood from my period because I've been lying down too long? I'm getting concerned, but don't have an OB yet and I'm not sure if I can see one while my foot is like this.
