i've been having this choking, swelling kind of feel in my throat area on and off for quite some years now. in some good days, i can go through a whole day without feeling any discomfort, while others i feel it all the time. like some other people here have said about their own symtoms, mine seems to be better in the morning when i wake up and worse as the day goes on as well.
another problem with mine, which i'd like to know if anyone else share too, is that i feel the constant urge to let small amount of air out from my throat whenever i have this problem. it's not like the burps that we have after a food or carbonated drinks, but small ones that i feel i have to induce in order to make my throat feel temporarily better, but the blocked up/choking feeling goes right back after the small burps... really frustrating!
i just recently realised that it might be relating to neck problems. i've had neck problems for years, stiff and pain sometimes. i find that the throat and neck problems happen together a lot. it probably makes sense since they share the same area in our bodies. i wonder if it's that when the neck stiffs up, the throat gets 'squeeze' and therefore it affects the air flowing in the area. ...
no doctors have been able to give any reasonable explanations. human bodies are so complicated, but incompetent doctors are a dime a dozen too!

could help. It's very daunting. I just live with it. I can't even wear turtlenecks anymore because the pressure and choking sensation are magnified so much. If you find an answer PLEASE PLEASE email me.

I also have this same problem, ive had it for about 1 year and some months i dont get it at all, but sometimes i can have it for a full month.
It is on my left handside of my throat, where you would check for a pulse or to see if my glands are swollen. It is a kind of pressure in that area and fades on and off.
Sometimes it can be that bad feels like my head is going to pop,

I bet the thing common among you all is that you guys masturbate. I dont mean to be offensive, but if your not careful and wack-off more then 3-4 times every 3-4 months then these problems will increase. These are all cases symptomatic of dissected aortas, the severity of your case will increase with greater uses of your body effcts.
I had to read this twice. Astonishing. If you do not excercise your ejaculatory function, you will get prostrate cancer. Excercise typically means 1/2 hour 3 times a week for cardiovascular health. I would suggest that masturbating a MINIMUM of three times a week is necessary for prostrate health. I masturbate at least once per day, sometimes up to 5 times.

I have been suffering from these same throat pressure symptoms for about 6 months now. It gets better and then gets worse. My doctor gave me Aciphex for acid reflux. My stomach feels a lot better now; I haven't taken a tum for weeks but this damn tightness in my throat still persists.
I feel sometimes like I have a sinus or ear infection. I massage my saliva glands on my jaw and that sometimes gives some relief.
I was sorry to hear about but glad to read about other people's experiences with this problem. Now I don't feel so alone with this problem. Mine is usually worse in the evenings. I had a heart problem leading to angioplasty and stent implant in 1995. I take Zocor, Tramadol, Amitryptiline, Aspirin and Bisoprolol for high blood pressure. That's a lot of meds. I asked my doctor if one or more of them is causing this tightness in my throat. He said no, that it was acid reflux and gave me the Aciphex. Perhaps it just takes a long time to heal? I sympathize with the way everyone who posted here feels about such alarming symptoms. It is extremely distressing to have this choking feeling. I have wondered if I had cancer or thyroid problems, even wondered if this was the beginning of a terminal illness. No answers yet but I will be praying for all of you.
Best wishes to all,
Carl

I have been told by a goof friend who is a doctor that not using the sexual equipment can indeed lead to prostate cancer. I don't masturbate much anymore because my new wife can't get enough sex but during the ten years I was single I did it often, maybe once a day. My prostrate is just fine and I am 59.
