I'm 34 years old, not on any medication, and not sexually active (for personal reasons). The last year or so I've been experiencing the following symptoms: chills, morning nausea, disrupted sleep, extreme anxiety for no reason, mild to extreme depression for no reason, "warm" flashes--usually in face and neck, heart palpitations, mild, out-of-the-blue headaches that usually don't go away unless I take a painkiller like Tylenol, light periods that last no more than 3 days--sometimes less, late periods, crawly skin, occasional high-pitched ringing in my ears that lasts from a few seconds to a minute or so, extreme fatigue, oversleeping, restless sleeping, night sweating always below waist--never above, for some reason, very bad mood swings, forgetfulness. I always thought I was much too young to be experiencing menopause, but when I talked to my mom she suggested it might be at the root of what's happening. I just don't know. Does it sound like menopause to anyone? :|
Hi
Though you are young for perimenopause, these symptoms would suggest that it may be the root of the problem. A simple blood test can help with your diagnosis.
I had each of those symptoms, and I had some of them in my 30's. I was diagnosed with thyroid failure. When I received thyroid replacement, many of my symptoms went away or became less severe. Then as I aged they came back, and now that I am older, they are much better.
Perhaps your mother can tell you if they started in her 30's.
I think there are other hormonal imbalances that can make these symptoms you have, so your doctor can probably help you there.
