Hi. I'm a 21 year old female and since about half a year ago, i've had this itch in the area between my genital and my thigh. It's pinkish-white in colour and sort-of scaling at the edge...the area looks a little shiny and smooth but at times is a little bumpy to touch... it's pretty symmetrical in that it appears on both sides of my genital... It itches pretty badly especially at night and at times, the area is slightly sore... anyone have any idea what it is?

I think I have this same problem. Did anyone give you a diagnosis. If so pls update this. Its been 3 months for me and it is near the anus.

If the itch is worse at night and located in the creases of your body or around the genitals it is probably scabies. You should see your physician immediately, you and those who live with you will need to be treated. Ask for ivermectin also, it is an off-label use but is very effective and you don't have to worry about missing an area. Use in conjunction with Pemethrin cream for best results. Good luck

I remember learning about something called Lichen simplex or Lichen sclerosis that sounds a lot like this. The whitish/lighter pigmentation is characteristic and itching (especially at night) is common. Regardless of what this is - you need to see a doctor.
