What's up.. ok so I'm 22 and I've been using heroin for like 6 years now.. and my boyfriend, he's 27 and has been using for 10mos. now. Its ruining our relationship. I been thru it all with this drug. He's been thru it all. Its time to stop, the parents are tapped out, resources tapped out. We r exhausted from runnin daily to supply this habbit, and its just taken a toll on us mentally, physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually. Tired of rehab and jail and all that dumb sh*t, its not worth it. Both dropped outta college once again because we was too occupied coppin. Stupid. And we're both at that point in our life to where its time to buck the f**k up and take care of business. We have families to take care of, he has a daughter. Anyways, its just time to stop. Problem is no money to do this. I can come up with enough for one or two suboxone or subutex if someone needs something but I just moved like an hour away from where I'm origionally from and where I get my sh*t so I don't know but a handful of people, not even that, who r willing to take that drive to cop and me still make some dope off it. Its a f**ked up situation that I don't want to do. I think if I can get ahold of the school and get enrolled again ill be able to save my financial aid and he prob could too. Anyways so we are short one funds and everything and I need to know what can I buy, other than the obvious, but like food? Drinks? Vitimans? Just like any remedies that I may have not tried yet, just remember tho I been using heroin IV for at least 5 years and using total of like 6.. so a long time. And all I really know to do at home is to either get suboxone or subutex try and get some xanax or atavan, no weed though that makes me feel worse, sleeping pills, and that's about it. So I need HELP!!!!! Sorry I kinda dragged this out but I figured id get a majority of the story out. Thanks for any response!!!!!

I wish you luck. At the end of the day, a strong will and determination is going to be what carries you through. If you do not have the chance to take suboxone or methadone short term (week) try to get trazadone to sleep. Valuim (be careful very addicting) immodium for stomach. Valerian root or passionflower for relaxation. Ltyrosine and vit b6 for energy (must take together )I bannannas for leg aches. Also motrin for aches. Drink lots of water. Or you could taper your habit with vicoodin or percocet and then try the supplements. God speed

I'm going through the same thing right now. Unfortunatley I was diagnosed with epilepsy/seizure disorder so w/d's are deadly. My last two grand mals were during w/d's and that's what keeps me now from stopping. I'm in pain every day due to my disease then add ontop suffering daily from w/d's it's enuff to make anyone think why the hell did I do this?  I'm 32 never did anything except smoked weed here and there until i was  27 which is very sad. I feeel what's the point? I;m all over the computer while I still have lil bit of energy and not dealthy ill trying to find home remedies to make you comfortable and I saw alot of herbs, immodiuiam is the #1 everyone tells me about.

Hello ! My situation sounds a lot like yours ., except for the going to jail part ., always was extra careful because we have 3 animals and rent our home so we pretty much stayed out of the party scene and away from other people or places ( besides the dealer ) . Anyway we have been hooked on opiates for 5 years now . Both in and out of the methadone clinics and or suboxone treatment . I have also done cold turkey with the help of clonindine and Xanax or Ativan and lots of Benedryl and vitamins .and anti depressants ., it's better to start antidepressants before you quit so they are active in your system ., actually it's better to take vitamins eat right and antidepressants before you quit so your body is in the best shape it can be before going into withdrawal ., I took Wellbutrin . And the clonindine is for high blood pressure wich causes most of the withdrawal symptoms so that helped tremendously! Lots of hot Epsom salt baths , fruits , yogurt . I took a slew of vitamins and a pharmacologist was who told me wich ones to take . A multi vitamin , and then on top of that here is everything I took ..b50( energy) , vit c ( immune health, fish oil ( heart and immune health plus it's just really good for you ) , zinc , an assortment of different B vitamins , magnesium ( helps RLS) , and Epsom salt baths also helps the RLS . I took Benedryl to help me sleep , also unisom helps too . I stayed away from anything that made my blood pressure go up like caffiene , acetometophin , for the aches and pains I took aleve . But also in conjunction with the vitamins eating fruits like bananas , yogurt , granola cereal (fiber ) , also I took probiotic caps or probiotic drinks ., SOY MILK . All these things together really helped . Now when I went through it I also had my mom help me , she brought me meals durring the day when I couldn't get out of bed . I also was an IV drug user heroin . It got so bad that she had to wash my hair because I couldn't move . But after getting all the things I listed in my body things started moving faster . On day 11 I started feeling better . The thing is the depression sadness and all those feelings where way worse then the pyhsical pain ., opiates numb my feelings so when I quit dealing with my feelings SOBER ., the mental anguish of my dire situation I put myself in caused me worse pain then the actual PAIN from
Withdrawals . I think anyone who has quit long enough will agree with this . But some people have a lower pain threshold ., like my boyfriend . He can't go through withdrawal at all . It kills him . I've been through it cold turkey ., I guess I forgot to mention I relapsed tho about 1 month in ., the depression got to me so bad I was like a psychotic wreck . So I starte using again ., but then I started taking suboxone ( wich hasn't been a walk in the park ) I liked methadone better but my insurance covers my subs , there free . So that in itself outweighs the side affects of suboxone .
