hickey advice? he seems to like them

My boyfriend and I were talking about some things the other day, and we started talking about hickeys.
He basically said he wouldn't have a problem with me giving him one, he's had them before and (from what he's said), he seems to like them.

The thing is, I've never given one before, but I know how.

I'm just nervous that I might hurt him or something.

Any advice?
